"Culminating a couple of days worth of feverish speculation, West Virginia officially announced Wednesday, December 15th, Dana Holgorsen would become the Mountaineers’ offensive coordinator in 2011 and then take over as the head coach in 2012. 

Bill Stewart will stay on as head coach in 2011 — although we’re still hearing rumblings that could change after the bowl game — and then transition into another role within the athletic department.

At a press conference held early Thursday afternoon, December 16th, athletic director Oliver Luck met with the media to further explain the direction the WVU football program has taken.  As it pertained to Stewart, Luck started out by praising the coach…

…before burying him underneath the axles of a Greyhound."

June 7, 2010:

Late on the night of April 20th, 50 miles from the shore of Louisiana, a fire broke out aboard the Transocean Deepwater Horizon oil rig under lease by BP, with 126 individuals on board. After a massive explosion, all but 11 of the crew managed to escape as the rig was consumed by fire, later collapsing and sinking into the Gulf. Safeguards set in place to automatically cap the oil well in case of catastrophe did not work as expected

It has been described by Newsweek, the National Geographic, Rolling Stone magazine, and other U.S. and world media as the worst offshore oil leak in United States history and one of the world's worst ever. The wellhead blowout on BP's Deepwater Horizon Drilling rig caused the leaking of what some say has been tens of millions of gallons of oil - others say it has reached hundreds of millions of gallons - into the natural habitat surrounding the Mississippi River Delta and beyond.

Federal officials planning the recovery from the effects of the BP Macondo oil spill should remain on guard for signs of the collapse of fish or wildlife species in and around the Gulf of Mexico in the years to come, say more than 40 scientists who gathered in Sarasota, Fla., to discuss long-term scientific responses to the spill.

Getting Work Caught Up Before Jingle Bells!

Each and every one of you need to review your work individually. As I've gone over this with each of you several times before, you must complete all work before moving on to the next assignment. You also need to be blogging two times per week. I am placing many different kinds of blogs out there on my blog for you to read and some of them require a response from you.

You have to set time aside for blogging or you will not get it done. It's just like your learning logs. You must update them daily.

Remember to please review your work to make sure that you are completing all of the assignments within each activity. Get with me to go over your work again for completion before we go home for the holidays.

You can still get all the work done before the end of the semester on 1/14/11. When we get back from Christmas break, there will only be two weeks left before semester ends. 
REMEMBER: You can work at home on your blogging, wikis, and learning logs!!!
